Retro Kitchen Is Here To Stay For A While

There are some great house/property/decor/furnishing magazines on the market these days and no one need sit in a state of boredom for more than a minute or two if they really don’t want to.  I like to catch up with the trends every few months – it’s refreshing to see what the market is getting ready to supply those of us who are about to undertake a project of our own.  One such magazine today is showing a couple of makeovers of three Victorian terrace houses in different parts of the country.  It’s interesting to note that each design has similarities in the style of cabinetry chose and their finished colour palettes.   It’s clear to me that the decorating world is beginning to hark back to the days of the late 1960s and 1970s.   With a touch of the ghastliness of the ’80s for good measure!  The theme in all three is very much geometric designs for wall and floor tiles in both kitchens and bathrooms with a distinctly orange and green theme coming through very strongly.   Very retro!
